I am a poor witch
Feeling quite blue
Short on ingredients for my magical brew
If that doesn’t take the cake
My broom is on the fritz
For goodness sake
Oh little children
How sweet and dear
Don’t run away
You have nothing to fear
Please run down to the witches five and dime
Pick up two lizards
An eye of a newt
And one juicy lime
Here is a special treat
For without your help
This old witch would be beat
Eat it all up
I tell you no lie
On Halloween night
Through the sky
You will fly

Oh I adore this poem! It takes me back to the fun childhood days of trick-or-treating. My favorite type of Halloween stuff is of the "more harmless mischievous than outright terrifying" variety, so I love that you took a potentially scary figure like a witch and made it fun. I loved this ! I wish i would have read it over halloween , but was back and forth with my mom in the hospital then not much reading in , I voted it up ! all the way across , i remember when i was young , halloween was so much fun , no little kids around me now so , one tends to forget those things sometimes , thanks for the read !:) God Bless !:)
